LUXURY Swiss watchmaking Maison, Vacheron Constantin, was founded in 1755 and is considered to be the oldest watch manufacturer operating today. With nearly 270 years of expertise and a proud heritage of watchmaking, the brand continues to innovate timepieces through generations of master craftsmanship. This year, in celebration of its never-ending quest for excellence, innovation and artistry, Vacheron showcased an impressive range of timepieces at the world’s biggest event on the industry’s calendar, Watches and Wonders ‘23 in Geneva.

The Overseas Self-Winding Collection has remained at the core of the Maison’s philosophy. Originally launched in 1977 and reinvented in 2016, there is no doubt that Vacheron Constantin’s creations are considered haute horlogerie, meaning the ‘high art of watchmaking’; a term only the most highly skilled watchmakers can claim.

On March 27, four exquisite renditions in the Overseas range were unveiled in Geneva. Although staying true to its overseas sporty-chic aesthetic, the range features smaller watch faces that give a slimmer and more ergonomic silhouette. Christian Selmoni, Director of Style and Heritage at Vacheron Constantin explains that “these new diameters correspond to an aesthetic trend dictated by more classical standards. It is characterised by a reduction in the size of the watches, which are equally suited to both men’s and women’s wrists.”

The latest designs incorporate 18 carat gold, 5N pink gold and diamonds, set in watch face diameters from 34-35mm. The gem-set models with a diameter of 35mm exhibit a slightly larger diameter as they are graced with 90 round-cut diamonds with a minimum of 0.86 carats.

They also allow you to customise your look with an interchangeable strap. For example, the blue dial model provides a choice of a stitched blue calfskin or rubber strap, with a triple folding Maltese cross clasp that matches the case metal. On the pink version, the calfskin and rubber choices take on a soft beige-pink colour, complete with a steel folding clasp.

A perfect daily companion and travel buddy — Vacheron Constantin offers 4 unique timepieces that are truly remarkable. Available in Vacheron boutiques from September 2023.
